Trouble compiling cURL with openssl on C
I was trying to compile cURL for CentOS 5 and kept getting the error.
checking for SSL_connect in -lssl... (cached) no
Versions:
openssl-0.9.8l
curl-7.18.2
centOS 2.6.18-164.15.1.el5
After digging through the documentation and forum, it turns out that openssl doesn't build the dynamic libraries by default.
To fix this simply configure openssl like below:
./config shared
Hope this helps someone out
